Dinapigue Mining Corporation (DMC) believes in the protection of the Sierra Madre range. As such, all our operations are conducted outside the boundaries of the Sierra Madre Natural Park and are carried out in full compliance with national and local regulations. We also hold the necessary permits and clearances from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) and local government units to ensure responsible and lawful operations.

The mining permit for the area (MPSA No. 258-2007-11) was first granted in 2007 to Platinum Group Metals Corporation. In 2009, it was transferred to Geogen Corporation, and later acquired by DMC in 2015. Actual commercial operations commenced in 2021, only after fulfilling all legal requirements, including securing the necessary permits and environmental clearances from the DENR and the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB). Prior to operations, DMC also prepared and had approved a Final Mine Rehabilitation and Decommissioning Plan, as required under the Philippine Mining Act of 1995 and related regulations. Extensive consultations with communities were conducted to ensure social acceptability and compliance with environmental and social safeguards.

DMC is committed to responsible mining. We are proud that 72% of our employees are local hires, including Indigenous Peoples who comprise 2% of our workforce. Beyond employment, we ensure our operations are aligned with environmental protection and sustainable development. As of the end of the first quarter of this year, a total of 626,402 seedlings have been planted and donated for reforestation efforts. The company remains committed to transparency and constructive engagement with all stakeholders, including local communities and environmental experts. DMC recognizes that public concerns go beyond tree planting alone, which is why its environmental strategy focuses on long-term conservation and sustainability.
