TESDA Secretary Suharto Mangudadatu and PA Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy Galido signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 12 at the PA Headquarters in Taguig City to formalize the partnership.

Secretary Mangudadatu highlighted the PA’s role in providing skills training to residents of remote areas and marginalized sectors, acknowledging their significant contributions in expanding TESDA’s training programs to reach more individuals.

The partnership seeks to provide upskilling and lifelong learning programs to PA personnel through technical vocational education and training (TVET), including specialized qualifications essential for their roles, such as community-based training for IPs, former rebels, and residents in remote communities.

Under the MOU, TESDA will offer free skills training, assessment, and certification to qualified Army personnel, who will, in turn, assist TESDA in conducting training programs for marginalized communities.

This initiative aligns with TESDA’s commitment to empower Filipinos with skills that enhance employability and livelihood opportunities.
