Organized by the Local Government Unit (LGU), the caravan aimed to promote peace through the collaboration of local government units, government agencies, non-government organizations, private sector groups, and partner barangay local government units. The event offered a range of services including medical care, free haircuts, veterinary services, consultations on government programs, birth and civil registration, and the distribution of food packs and toys.

Municipal Mayor Arlito A. Tan underscored the importance of making government services accessible to communities and bringing them closer to the people.

Lt. Col. Richard P. Villaflor, Commanding Officer of the 20th Infantry Battalion, praised the cooperation among LGU, local government agencies, NGOs, and the community, which contributed to the caravan’s success. He commended the collective effort during the clearing operations in former conflict-affected barangays and urged continued dedication toward achieving a peaceful and progressive Las Navas.

“Support our leaders and recognize the responsibilities we share. The 20th Infantry (We Lead) Battalion remains committed to supporting you. We are with you in every challenge we face,” Lt. Col. Villaflor said.

He added, “Join us and Mayor Tan, along with the Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict of Las Navas, as we work together towards an Insurgency-Free Las Navas.”

The 20th IB also brought joy to the community with a special performance by Jollibee’s “Bida ang Saya” and showcased their talents through beatboxing, rapping, and singing. They also distributed food packs, provided free haircuts, lunch, ice cream, and Yum Burgers.

The caravan was supported by Mayor Tan, Vice Mayor Minda M. Tan, Las Navas LGU members, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Lt. Col. Villaflor and 20th IB personnel, DILG Northern Samar Representative Mr. Eduardo A. Diaz, MLGOO Las Navas Ms. Rosalinda S.
