As part of its commitment to improving healthcare access nationwide, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) officially turned over Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) to 16 local government units (LGUs) from Agusan del Sur, Cagayan, and Nueva Ecija through its Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program (MTVDP).

Led by PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles, Chairman Felix Reyes, Directors Imelda Papin, Janet Mercado, and Jennifer Guevara, the turnover and blessing ceremony took place on May 2, 2025, at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.

The beneficiaries of the donation program include the city of Bayugan and the municipalities of Bunawan, Esperanza, La Paz, Loreto, Prosperidad, Rosario, San Francisco, San Luis, Sibagat, Sta. Josefa, Talacogon, Trento, and Veruela in Agusan del Sur, as well as the municipalities of Iguig in Cagayan and Peñaranda in Nueva Ecija.

Robles reaffirmed the administration’s strong commitment to accessible emergency healthcare, stressing that it remains a top priority under the leadership of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

“Ang hangarin po ng Pangulo ay mabigyan ng ambulansiya ang bawat bayan sa bawat sulok ng Pilipinas, bilang patunay ng maayos at epektibong serbisyo ng pamahalaan,” he remarked.

The event forms part of the Marcos administration’s broader goal of providing each city and municipality nationwide with a PTV to boost emergency response capabilities and strengthen local healthcare systems. Under the President Marcos administration, 674 PTVs have been distributed to LGUs across the country through the MTVDP, benefiting Filipinos in underserved and rural communities.
