CATBALOGAN CITY — The Samar Chronicle, a new addition to the vibrant media landscape in the province, has officially unveiled its online news site, Tuesday, February 20.

Packed with insightful stories, incisive analysis, and a commitment to truth, The Samar Chronicle aims to become your go-to source for news that matters. While its first airing was low-key, it received support from prominent figures in journalism who pledged to contribute opinion and news articles.

In his message, the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Ricky Bautista emphasized its dedication to
upholding journalistic integrity and providing readers with reliable and unbiased reporting. Bautista is the current president of the Samar Island Press Club, Inc, and the Region 8 Media Citizen Council. He served as EIC, columnist, and layout artist for the Samar Weekly Express since 2000.

With a team of seasoned journalists and writers backing up The Samar Chronicle (TSC), the newest media outfit promises comprehensive coverage of local, national, and international news, as well as in-depth features on a wide range of topics including politics, business, culture, and sports.

“We are excited to embark on this journey of bringing quality journalism to our readers,” said Bautista. “The Samar Chronicle is committed to chronicling the truth in today’s happenings and updates in Samar, as we look forward to serving our readers and viewers with the highest standards of journalism,” he added.

The news outfit will cover a diverse range of topics, from hard-hitting news stories to thought-provoking opinion pieces from top-caliber opinion and literary writers.
